Welcome to Tarangan Foundation
Tarangan Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company established with the aim of empowering lives of families and individuals with special needs (SNI). They are associated with - Forum for Autism (FFA), Mumbai and Support All Abled Differently (SaaD), Pune, India
Facilitated Family Living Concept was developed by our Founders - Suneeta Kulkarni, Sunita Lele and Beena Modak after extensive research and review of several projects for individuals with special needs in India and elsewhere. Parul and Anand Kumtha also contributed to the development of the concept in the initial phases.
Swaniketan is the project based on this concept started in partnership with Paranjape schemes construction limited (PSCL), for a safe and inclusive community. PSCL is an ideal partner for this project because of their pioneering work in senior living (Athashri projects).
Together, our mission is to create a safe environment as well as necessary opportunities for individuals with specials needs in their entire journey from the formative years through adulthood so that they can reach their fullest potential, become participatory members of their communities and live a life of safety, dignity and respect.
Our vision for families is that the parents can be part of their children's life as long as feasible with support and see them transition to what would be their life after them.
